Upgrade to Q-Route™ Version 10.0 |
Note For QuickBooks Users:
Do not do this upgrade if:
- You are not using QuickBooks US versions Pro, Premier or Enterprise 2007-2010.
- You use any Canadian QuickBooks versions.
Note for Microsoft Vista users:
In order to successfully install QRoute version 10.0, download the latest Q-Route User Guide by clicking here and follow the installation instructions covered in Appendix G.
Upgrade Steps to Version 10.0 of QRoute™
- Before the update:
- Contact Sales to purchase the upgrade (or click here to purchase), and obtain a new Serial Number compatible with version 10.0.
(Failure to purchase the upgrade, and continuing to install the update will place you in DEMO mode, and the system will be locked down after 30 days.)
- If you are currently using a QRoute version earlier than 8.5 then, all route cards must be in for the day, and invoices uploaded. If this update is performed while some cards contain data from the old version, that data will NOT be valid, and those invoices will have to be entered by hand.
- Download the latest QRoute 10.0 build by clicking here.
- Make a backup of your current QR2000 database:
- On your desktop, go to My Computer > C drive > Program Files > Advantage > QR2000
- Go to Edit > Select All
- Go to Edit > Copy
- Go to File > New > New Folder. Name this folder “Version8backup”
- Double click the Version8backup folder to open it.
- Go to Edit > Paste
- Wait for Windows to finish copying files before continuing.
- Make sure ALL users are logged out of QuickBooks.
- Locate the QR2000 10.0 update file that you downloaded from the QR2000 website. Double click on the file to launch the installation wizard.
- Continue through the screens, when prompted for what to install, choose “UPDATE”. Choosing any other option could result in loss of data.
- After the update is complete, open and log in to QuickBooks. Verify you have installed the upgrade by going to Customers > QRoute > About QRoute. The version should say 10.0 (If your version does not say 10.0, please contact QR2000 Technical Support at 209-485-9395 for assistance with installing the upgrade.)
- Finally, you will need to do a Morning Card for each of your route cards like you normally would.
